International Cooperation Projects and Sustainability Research
The university actively participates in international cooperation projects aimed at modernizing education, promoting sustainability, and developing innovative solutions aligned with the European Union’s environmental and educational standards. Three major projects have played a key role in enhancing the university’s contribution to sustainability and green development.
1. Modernizing the Master's Program in Environmental Engineering in Line with European Union Requirements
Budget: 756,251 EUR
This project focuses on improving the quality and structure of the Master’s program in Environmental Engineering by aligning it with European Union educational standards and sustainability principles. The initiative includes revising curricula, upgrading laboratory facilities, and introducing modern teaching methods emphasizing environmental protection, pollution control, and renewable energy technologies. As a result, the program now prepares highly skilled specialists capable of solving complex environmental challenges in both local and international contexts.
2. GreenEngine: “Developing Creative Engineering for a Sustainable Green World”
Budget: 596,598 EUR
The GreenEngine project aims to foster creativity and innovation among engineering students by integrating sustainability concepts into engineering education. The project encourages the design and implementation of eco-friendly technologies, renewable energy systems, and sustainable production methods. Through collaborative workshops, student competitions, and joint research initiatives, GreenEngine promotes a new generation of engineers who are motivated to contribute to global environmental sustainability and green innovation.
3. GreenCampUz: “Green Campus Initiative: Integrating Sustainability into Higher Education in Uzbekistan”
Budget: 359,682 EUR
The GreenCampUz project focuses on transforming university campuses into sustainable, environmentally responsible learning environments. It integrates sustainability into higher education through practical initiatives such as energy efficiency improvements, waste management systems, and green infrastructure development. The project also enhances environmental awareness among students, staff, and the broader community through educational campaigns and workshops.
Collectively, these projects demonstrate the university’s strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and alignment with international best practices. They play a vital role in achieving the objectives of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings by promoting green education, sustainable campus operations, and environmental responsibility across all academic levels.
