Description

Andijan State Technical Institute (ASTI) has established a comprehensive Anti-Corruption and Integrity System designed to promote transparency, accountability, ethical governance, and public trust across all academic and administrative activities. The institute follows the anti-corruption legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan while implementing internal compliance mechanisms that foster integrity and prevent corruption in education, research, finance, procurement, recruitment, and student services.

A dedicated Anti-Corruption and Compliance Control Department coordinates institutional efforts to identify corruption risks, strengthen internal controls, monitor compliance, and promote ethical conduct throughout the university. The department also provides guidance to faculties and administrative units on implementing preventive measures and ensuring that institutional processes remain transparent and accountable.

The university applies a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and unethical behavior. Institutional regulations, including the Code of Ethics and internal compliance procedures, establish clear standards for honesty, impartiality, conflict-of-interest management, and responsible decision-making. These principles apply equally to academic staff, administrative employees, researchers, and students.

To enhance transparency, ASTI operates digital communication channels that allow students, employees, and external stakeholders to submit complaints, suggestions, and reports concerning unethical conduct or suspected corruption. Confidential reporting mechanisms and the Rector's online communication platform support the prompt handling of appeals while protecting the confidentiality of applicants. The institute also maintains an official anti-corruption portal that provides information, accepts reports, and promotes integrity awareness.

Transparency is further strengthened through open recruitment procedures, competitive staff selection, electronic procurement processes, digital document management, and publicly available institutional information. These practices reduce administrative risks and improve accountability across university operations.

ASTI regularly organizes seminars, awareness campaigns, legal education programs, and integrity training for academic staff, administrative personnel, and students. These activities help cultivate an institutional culture based on honesty, professionalism, fairness, and respect for the rule of law while increasing awareness of anti-corruption legislation and ethical responsibilities.

The Anti-Corruption and Compliance Control Department periodically conducts corruption risk assessments, monitors institutional procedures, evaluates compliance performance, and recommends corrective actions where necessary. Continuous monitoring, digital governance tools, and annual reviews ensure that the university's integrity system remains effective and responsive to emerging risks.

Through these institutional measures, Andijan State Technical Institute demonstrates its commitment to transparent governance, ethical leadership, and responsible public administration. The anti-corruption and integrity system supports good governance, strengthens stakeholder confidence, and contributes directly to the principles of sustainable university management promoted by the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings.
