Campus Sustainability Governance
Andijan State Technical Institute (ASTI) has established a comprehensive sustainability governance structure to coordinate environmental management, resource efficiency, climate action, and Green Campus initiatives. Sustainability activities are implemented through dedicated administrative offices, technical departments, environmental committees, and student organizations working together to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Institutional Sustainability Structure
Campus Sustainability Office
The Campus Sustainability Office coordinates the university's sustainability strategy, including energy conservation, climate action, waste reduction, water management, environmental monitoring, Green Campus programs, sustainability reporting, and implementation of the SDGs.
Facilities Management & Operations
The Facilities Management Department oversees campus infrastructure, environmental policies, energy efficiency, water conservation, building maintenance, and sustainable operation of university facilities.
Environmental / Green Committee
The Environmental Committee develops and coordinates sustainability policies, monitors environmental performance, organizes Green Campus initiatives, and supports continuous improvement in environmental management across the university.
Student Sustainability Groups
Student organizations actively promote sustainability through awareness campaigns, tree planting, recycling programs, environmental competitions, clean-up activities, and other eco-friendly initiatives that encourage responsible citizenship.
Research and Sustainable Development
Public support and institutional commitment are essential for implementing sustainability policies and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Universities contribute by conducting independent scientific research, providing evidence-based recommendations, developing innovative technologies, and educating future professionals capable of addressing environmental, economic, and social challenges.
At Andijan State Technical Institute, interdisciplinary collaboration among academic departments, research centers, government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations strengthens sustainability initiatives across the campus. Research findings are disseminated through scientific publications, conferences, workshops, and collaborative projects that support national and international sustainable development priorities.
The institute promotes innovation, technology transfer, environmental research, renewable energy development, water resource management, sustainable manufacturing, smart infrastructure, and climate resilience while providing opportunities for students and researchers to participate in sustainability-related projects and capacity-building programs.
