Digital literacy is one of the strategic priorities of Andijan State Technical Institute (ASTI) in supporting digital transformation, sustainable education, and lifelong learning. The institute continuously implements comprehensive digital literacy programs aimed at improving the digital competencies of students, academic staff, researchers, and administrative employees. These initiatives promote the effective, responsible, and secure use of digital technologies in education, research, administration, and community engagement while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Digital Technologies Center, together with the Academic Affairs Department, Information Resource Center (Library), Quality Assurance Office, and Career Development Center, coordinates a wide range of digital literacy activities throughout the academic year. Training programs cover digital communication, cybersecurity awareness, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, digital collaboration, data analysis, programming, digital research tools, electronic learning systems, and responsible use of information technologies.

Students receive practical training on the university's Learning Management System (Moodle LMS), Student Information System, Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, online collaboration platforms, academic databases, plagiarism detection systems, digital libraries, and scientific reference management software such as Mendeley and Zotero. These skills enable students to conduct high-quality research, manage digital information effectively, and participate successfully in modern digital learning environments.

Academic staff regularly participate in professional development programs focused on digital pedagogy, online teaching methodologies, artificial intelligence in education, virtual laboratories, digital assessment systems, and interactive learning technologies. These initiatives strengthen teaching quality while expanding opportunities for blended and online learning.

The university also organizes specialized workshops on Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, big data, cloud technologies, software development, robotics, and digital innovation. Students actively participate in hackathons, programming competitions, startup incubator programs, innovation forums, and ICT exhibitions, encouraging creativity and entrepreneurship in emerging digital technologies.

To promote safe and ethical use of technology, ASTI conducts annual cybersecurity awareness campaigns covering password security, phishing prevention, data privacy, responsible social media use, cyber ethics, and protection of personal information. Digital literacy initiatives are further strengthened through partnerships with government agencies, ICT companies, technology parks, and international organizations, providing students and staff with access to certification courses, internships, industry seminars, and practical training opportunities.
