Accessibility and Inclusivity at Andijan State Technical Institute

The Andijan State Technical Institute prioritizes creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all members of its academic community, including individuals with disabilities, special needs, and maternity care requirements. Campus infrastructure has been designed to ensure equal access to educational, administrative, and recreational facilities. Entrances to main academic buildings and administrative centers are equipped with ramps and wide doorways, allowing wheelchair users and individuals with mobility challenges to move freely and safely across campus.

Special attention is given to ensuring that learning spaces are accessible and comfortable for all students. Classrooms and laboratories on the ground floors are designed with adjustable desks and sufficient space for wheelchair accessibility. In addition, visual and auditory aids are available to support students with hearing or vision impairments. The institute regularly reviews and upgrades these facilities to meet modern accessibility standards and to promote an inclusive learning environment.

The campus also provides well-equipped lactation and maternity rooms for female staff and students. These rooms are designed to offer a safe, private, and hygienic environment for mothers and infants, complete with comfortable seating, refrigeration, and basic medical supplies. Such facilities emphasize the institute’s commitment to supporting the health, dignity, and well-being of women on campus.

To maintain inclusivity and sustainability, regular awareness programs are organized to promote respect, empathy, and accessibility for all community members. These initiatives encourage students and staff to actively contribute to a barrier-free and supportive campus culture, where everyone — regardless of physical condition or personal circumstance — has equal opportunities to learn, work, and thrive.
